ChirpQuiz User Guide
ChirpQuiz helps you learn bird sounds through short listening quizzes. Choose a quiz, listen to a recording, and identify the species. You can practice without score pressure or take on a challenge with three lives.
This guide explains how the quizzes choose birds and answers, what the difficulty settings change, and where the app's bird information and recordings come from.

A quick note about quiz settings
The selected area and season affect which birds are available in area-based quizzes. The difficulty setting mainly affects how similar the three incorrect answers are to the correct bird. These are separate controls, see How birds are selected and Difficulty for details.
Parts of this guide were drafted with AI assistance and checked against the app's current behavior. Details may change as ChirpQuiz develops.
